The story begins with an apprentice baker named Robert McVitie. Born in Scotland 1809. In 1830, Robert and his father William opened a ‘provision’ shop in Rose Street, Edinburgh. Robert’s baking was so popular he managed to open more shops and expand the business. Delicious, crunchy oat & wholemeal biscuits. Initial crunch followed by gentle melt make these the most addictive in our range.
